ReplyDeleteBelow is the response from the exam board with regards your images. In terms of meeting the Friday draft deadline, the only adverse impact will be on the cover, the contents and double page spread should not be a problem as the troublesome image was never intended for that part so we still expect that in by Friday.
We will also expect a rough mock up of the cover, we are happy for you to use this inappropriate image for JUST the mock up, then you MUST use a more ‘suitable’ image for the final piece. I have emailed the exam board requesting clear guidance on what is and what is NOT suitable. You can see from their email that they agree it is similar to a ‘real’ magazine (which you should take as a complement) but understandably they also raise concerns for both you and Mr Ford and I in terms of our duty of care.
I have also forwarded them a link to your blog as well as bcc’ing them into this email.
Either myself or Mr Ford will speak to you about this issue if you have any concerns.
